I REHEARSED UP THE PAST ONCE MORE AND BROKE MY HEART ALL OVER AGAIN.
I rehearsed up the past once more, in gloom and in regret, and broke my heart all over again; I tainted my vision and blunted my awareness to the sheen of newness wrapped around my heart by my True Radiant Self.
Up on a pedestal of dreams, I longed for the Light of My Heart to love my addictions into weightlessness.
Now, I’m eager to tune up my attention to tales of my Wholeness abiding in the present moment and bequeath a wanderer’s song to my past.
Out of stormy midnights, at last, my heart thrills to the bounteous promises of starry nights of delights.
Oh! Never think that the heart forgets experiences that made it wise by drawing its attention to the Wholeness and Love that it denied; my heart remembers the past now, but only in fondness and without the pain of regret.
At last, the past has served its purpose; there is no longer a dream of freedom over it, for freedom’s song has come through to my heart.
