HOLDING ON TO THE EMOTIONS OF THE PAST KEEPS YOU AWAY FROM TRUE EVOLUTION AND CREATING A NEW FUTURE.
To pave way for true evolution is to transmute the limiting thoughts of our past into wisdom. Accepting and questioning the thought system of our strong emotions to allow the rays of our Wholeness is a means of doing that.
Emotions like frustration and sadness, end products of past experiences, are not wrong. Strong emotions make for better memories of our past experiences. A reaction to someone, something or an event in your life brings about a change in your body chemistry. If you continue to rehash the thought system and stories behind a predominant emotion and perpetuate the emotion for hours or days, you will create a mood; for weeks or months, you will create a temperament; and for years on end, you will create a personality trait. Memorised emotions define people’s personalities and keep them connected to the past. Reducing the duration of our resistance to an emotional reaction is emotional intelligence.
If you keep up a personality trait that thrills to frustration, if you keep rehashing the stories and thought systems of frustration, you will keep firing and wiring the same circuits in your brain and emotionally condition your body to more frustration. Holding on to the emotions of the past keeps you from creating a new future. The chemicals of frustration activate the genetic buttons of illnesses. Frustration hardly loving to you, prompts you to experience life through its lenses and to recruit more things along in your life to affirm your addiction to it. A culture of frustration, hanging out with frustrated people and mutually using each other to reaffirm the addictions to frustration, becomes a logical aftermath.
When you’ve had enough, when you realize that perpetuating the thought system of frustration is not loving to you and when you start observing those states of mind and body evoked by frustration, you will become the observer of the self. This means that you are no longer the addiction, biology or emotion of frustration. When you get up to the fact that frustration keeps you anchored to the past and that a whole new future is possible, you will begin to break free from frustration. Freedom from limiting thoughts precedes true evolution. As you continue to objectify the subjective emotional state of frustration, you will start asking yourself questions like “what is the worth of this lingering frustration to me,” “how can I become more effective.” Eventually, you will develop a new thought system affirming your Wholeness and limitless nature. That will enable you to transform your frustration into compassion. Taking the limiting thought system of a past emotional experience and transmuting it into wisdom is true evolution. We are often shaped by our adversity.
To liberate ourselves and experience true evolution is to realize that we can transmute our frustration into something more constructive.
